ORDINATION

God’s Family Global Network provides ordination opportunities for qualified ministers. Ordination is a sacred ordinance by which men and women are set apart for holy service in the body of Christ in accordance to 1 Timothy 3:1-13, 5:22; Titus 1:1-16, Acts 6:3-7, 13:1-3. Proper ordination helps ministers come under spiritual covering and authority, connect to people, resources and other ministries which they need in order to fulfill their calling. Ordination by GFGN provides ministers with the structure for accountability, checks and balances as well as legal covering for their ministerial functions.

CATEGORIES OF ORDINATION

1. Commissioned Minister –

Commission to preach is a credential which is provided to persons who have little or no ministry experience. Such persons are authorized to preach and assist the senior pastor or other staff pastors in any way that they can, in order to begin to get some exposure to Christian ministry. However, they are not authorized to perform any sacerdotal services. To be commissioned, the candidate must show proof of attendance and graduation from a basic school of ministry.

2. Licensed Minister –

A licensed minister credential is provided to persons who have some ministry experience but need further experience in order to be fully established. Such persons are authorized to assist in performing sacerdotal services. To be licensed, the candidate must show proof of attendance and graduation from a basic Bible school.

3. Ordained Minister –

An ordained minister credential is provided to those persons who have ‘an established and proven ministry’. Such persons are not only authorized to perform sacerdotal services but are also required to be performing sacerdotal services on a regular and ongoing basis. To be ordained, the candidate must show proof of attendance and graduation from a Bible school and pass the ordination examination.

4. Affirmed Minister –

An affirmed minister’ credential is provided to ordained ministers who have been discipled by the international board, committed to the vision of God’s Family, comply with disciplinary measures when applicable and can be sent and recognized by God’s Family worldwide. These ones must consistently manifest the grace of one or a mix of the fivefold leadership offices (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher).
